Medicare part 1 & 2 for cataract surgery ?

My wife is disabled & has medicare part 1 & 2.
She is 57 years old & needs glasses & cataract surgery .
I have tryed looking the problem up because of her disability & the medicare site seems to contradict its self with no straight simple answers .
So, my question is would she qualify for cataract surgery & glasses ?
If so, what on-line site would i need to look at for instructions ?
Thank You.

Diagnosed needing cataract surgery, need to delay?

My mother was told she needs cataract surgery. She has regular Medicare, but not Medicare B. Only Medicare B covers it.

Is she ok waiting until she can enroll in open enrollment in January?

I recently had cataract surgury on one eye and the surgeon billed medicare for 2500 dallars. a few day later?

hospital where the out patient surgery was performed bill medicare for 16,000 dollars. I was there for a total of 2 hours. Is this not totally outrageous? Is this a normal fee?

Does medicare pay for cataract surgery?

I have heard that they only pay for it if you are diabetic?

If “public option” government-run health care (e.g. Medicare) is so great, why is so much NOT covered?

Just a few things that are NOT covered:

# dental care;

# hearing aids or the examinations for prescribing or fitting hearing aids (except for implants to treat severe hearing loss in some cases);

# long-term care, including personal care, such as help with bathing, toileting and dressing (unless homebound and receiving skilled care) and nursing home care (except in a skilled nursing facility if eligible);

# some preventive care, including most routine physical examinations and tests, immunizations, and routine foot care and eye care;

# vision (eye) care, including eyeglasses (except when following cataract surgery) and examinations for prescribing or fitting eyeglasses.
