Does medicaid insurance cover cataract surgery for dogs?
My little shi-zu doggie has cataract on one eye.
I would hate for her to lose one eye because of the cataract and its really expensive to do the surgery without an insurance. i would like to know if Medicaid would pay for her cataract removal surgery.
My mom has medicaid and they told her once that medicaid does cover the costs to operate and have the doggie fixed for no more puppies but im not sure if they can do cataract surgery.
does anybody know???
Help on physic hw?
Sheila M worked for many years in ceramic emitter manufacturing. She is no longer employed there. Sheila has developed cataracts (clouded areas) on her eyes. If they continue, she will become blind. The medical community suspects that she was over exposed to microwave radiation at her previous job. There is a high incidence of cataracts in people associated with high levels of microwaves. The cataracts can be removed, but require expensive surgery. Her present job does not provide insurance and she does not have any other insurance protection. Who should pay for Sheila’s surgery?
Sheila
The Radio Company
Government – Medicare
What factors should be considered in deciding who should pay?
Careers with health benefits…or an awesome insurance plan?
Here’s my situation, i’m 16 right now and i have a medical card that covers everything with no copays or anything that will run out when i turn 19. I have a disease in my eye that I have been dealing with for about the past 8 years, a little over a year ago i had a cornea transplant, and am about to have a cataract removed. i take right at $1000 dollars of perscription medicine a month, (600 of it from my eye problems) i go to a family eye doctor once a month, a specialist once a month and a the doctor that done my surgery once a month. they are very strategic, one is out of state, the other is an hour and a half away. my point is these are very expensive places. with the cornea transplant the odds are against me that the graph can be rejected and i’ll have to have another transplant. with this comes a new line of specialists for different problems that i am just now starting to get away from. i am on an eyedrop four times daily that i will be on tthe rest of my life costing a little over 100 dollars a bottle. the point is that i am in a low income family and my career plan is that i really want to be a beautician – which kinda sucks for me due to the fact that there are no benefits especially what i would need. i dont want to live in debt to doctors my whole life and i really dont want to chose a career that i would be in school forever especially when its not really even what i want to do. which is be a beautician. well sorry its long and complicated…and weird but any advice other than i’m screwed.???

What is another insurance Dad needs to apply for besides his Medicare?
My Dad has medicare so when I call the eye clinic places so that he can get some cataracts taken off then they say Medicare will not pay for the whole surgery. So what is another insurance that DAd can apply for that will not break him and at the same time it, the insurance, will cover the other part of his eye surgery.
Thanks and have a blessed day,.
Insurance question?
I just had cataract surgery. The total cost of the surgery was $5000.00 the commercial insurance paid $1500.00 we called and told them that wasn’t the amount the policy stated they would pay. We were told that was the contractal amount the hospital agreed to take for the surgery and that we will not be billed for the rest over our usual 20%.
My question will the insurance company take the total amount of the surgery off our benefits, or the amount they actually paid?
Why would insurance companies cover elective surgery?
I’ve heard that some insurance companies will pay some, or part, of the cost of some cosmetic/elective surgeries like Lasik, Breast Augmentation, Cataract Surgery, etc. If insurances provide coverage for things they HOPE don’t happen (and then have to pay for), why would they include anything elective in their plans?
