does anyone know of any programs to help with the cost?

On fixed income,and can not get Medicaid,wife has diabetic,heart trouble,and need laser surgery to remove cataracts and place lens in,were can we get any help?

I have a shi tzu (sorry spelling is wrong) and she has really bad clouds in one eye and the other one is getting cloudy too- I was wondering if anyone has ever had to have a Cataract Surgery done on a dog and what they paid their Vet for this Surgery ?
Please let me know if anyone knows this — please no smart remarks, or anything stupid for answers I love this dog and do not want her to loose her sight and do not want to put her down either – she is still young and has plenty of life left in her. She is part of my family, I have her and her brother, they are twins.

i have a male pomeranian whos 10 yrs old, and starting to show signs of cataracts in both eyes

Does anybody know a place where they do it cheaper? My dad does not have insurace and he is green card holders so he dont really qualify for medicaid..

Our 9 year old Dalmatian, Spike has lost a lot of his vision due to cataracts. Just wondering if anyone has had cataract surgery done for their pet, what kind of Vet does this surgery…and a ‘ball park’ cost. It’s a hard decision, at his age…and on our (fixed) budget…if we should have his vision restored.

If money was no object, it would be a ‘no brainer’…but we’re trying to determine life expectancy, a quality life for him..and what’s affordable for us.

My dad is getting a cataract surgery next week and he has Medicare and Medical. Both will cover the cost of a regular bifocal Lens replacement, but they won’t cover the cost of a multifocal if he elects to have it. My questions are:
1- Does anyone know how much it is in Southern CA?
2- Does it work as well as your normal vision (meaning would he see as well as before he had his cataract)?
3- Why does the cost vary by state (I read online that it varied based on where you do it)
4- Can the doctor remove the pterygium at the same time as he replaces the lens or is it better to do the pterygium first then the cataract in a separate surgery (which is what our surgeon told us, but our ophtalmologist told us it could have been done at the same time!)??
Thanks in advance, I really want the best option for my dad!!

contemplating cataract surgery as well as glaucoma surgery in north carolina. ( no Insurance). what’s the average cost of these procedures per eye?
